From her hometown of Pikeville, Kentucky to audiences in Prague and South America, Ashley has shared her story with millions of people; many of whom are fellow Appalachians.

Ashley loves visiting college campuses to do screenings, talks, workshops, and masterclasses. Past visits include Eastern Kentucky University, Morehead State, Bowdoin College, and the Harvard’s Kennedy School where she presented to the Women in Public Policy Program.

Ashley was a keynote speaker at the annual Wilma Dykeman Stokely Memorial Lecture at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where she was in conversation with Elaine McMillion Sheldon.

Ashley has participated in numerous podcasts, including Appodlachia and Talking Appalachian.
